Privacy notice
Who we are
This notice covers the website mazun.ai. Mazun is a product of Zaken Technologies Limited, a company being incorporated in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), Dubai, United Arab Emirates (“Mazun”, “we”, “us”). Until that registration is complete, our founder, Sayeed Anjum, is responsible for the information collected on this website, and that responsibility passes to Zaken Technologies Limited once it is registered. We will add the company’s registration number and registered address here at that point.
Once registered, Zaken Technologies Limited is subject to the DIFC Data Protection Law (DIFC Law No. 5 of 2020). If you are in Saudi Arabia, the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law also applies to how we handle your information.
This notice does not cover Mazun Gateway or Mazun Chat when they run in a customer’s own infrastructure. How those products handle data is set out in each customer’s agreement with us.
Questions or requests about your information: privacy@mazun.ai. For anything else, write to hello@mazun.ai or message us on WhatsApp (see below).
What we collect
What you give us. When you book a meeting we collect your name, work email, organisation, number of staff (a range), anything you write in “Anything we should know?”, and your consent to be contacted about the request. Your role and your country are optional; leave them blank if you prefer.
Your self-check result. The page has a short self-check of five questions. If you tap it and then send the form, we receive the result with your request: your score and which of the five questions you did not tick. If you never tap the self-check, nothing is sent. We use it so the first meeting starts from what you told us.
WhatsApp. You can message us on WhatsApp instead of using the form. If you do, we receive your phone number, the name on your WhatsApp profile and what you write or send. WhatsApp is run by Meta, which handles your messages under its own terms and privacy policy, not ours. Please do not send sensitive information (see below) in a message.
What is collected when you send the form. The page you sent it from, the website that referred you, campaign tags in the link you followed (for example utm_source=linkedin) and, if we are trying out more than one version of a page, which version you saw. This tells us which outreach works. We also note simple facts that help us sort requests, such as whether you used a personal email address or chose a country outside the UAE and Saudi Arabia; these notes never decide anything on their own.
Your IP address. It is used briefly to limit repeated submissions and for the security check described below. We do not store it with your request.
The security check. We use a security service to tell people from automated spam. It looks at technical signals from your browser and device, such as your IP address and browser type, to make that decision. The provider may also use these signals, as its own controller, to improve its spam and bot detection.
Visits. We may measure page views and loading speed with analytics that uses no cookies and does not identify you. Before we add any analytics that uses cookies or identifies you, we will update this notice and ask for your consent.
We do not ask for, and ask you not to send, sensitive information such as health, financial account or identity document details. We do not knowingly collect information from children; the website is for businesses.
How we use it
| What | Why we use it | Basis |
|---|---|---|
| Your request (name, work email, organisation, number of staff, role, country, message) | To reply, arrange the meeting you asked for and keep a record of it | Your consent, given with the checkbox, and steps you asked us to take before a possible contract |
| Your self-check result (score and unticked questions), if you sent one with the form | To start the first meeting from what you told us | Your consent, given with the checkbox |
| Your WhatsApp messages, phone number and profile name | To reply to you and keep a record of the conversation | Steps you asked us to take, and our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us |
| Page, referrer, campaign tags, page version and sorting notes | To understand which outreach brings requests and to sort requests | Our legitimate interest in running our business, or your consent where the law requires it |
| IP address and security-check signals | To block spam and abuse of the form | Our legitimate interest in keeping the website secure |
We reply to your request by email from hello@mazun.ai, or on WhatsApp if you wrote to us there. We do not sell your information, use it for advertising or make automated decisions about you with legal or similar effects. We do not send you marketing emails unless you separately agree to receive them.
Cookies
The public website sets no cookies of its own, and the security check is configured not to set any cookie on mazun.ai. If that changes, we will update this notice and ask for your consent where required before setting any non-essential cookie.
Mazun’s own staff use a sign-in cookie for internal pages only.
Who processes it for us
We use service providers for website hosting and storage, security and spam protection, analytics, and email. Each acts on our instructions under a data processing agreement and may only use your information to provide its service to us, except for the security provider’s own use of security signals described above. WhatsApp is not one of these providers: if you message us there, Meta handles your messages under its own terms and privacy policy, as set out under “What we collect” above. You can ask us at privacy@mazun.ai for the list of providers that handle your information.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, for example to a court or regulator.
Transfers outside the UAE and Saudi Arabia
Our providers process your information outside the country you are in, including in Europe and the United States. Form requests are stored in Europe. Where the law restricts such transfers, we rely on the safeguards it allows, such as the standard contractual clauses in each provider’s data processing agreement.
How long we keep it
| What | How long |
|---|---|
| Form requests in our database | 24 months from the date you sent it, then deleted automatically, unless we have since entered into a contract with your company, in which case it is kept with that contract’s records |
| Notification emails, WhatsApp messages and our correspondence | While we are in contact about your request, and no longer than 24 months after our last exchange, unless a contract with your company follows |
| Technical logs | Up to 7 days |
You can ask us to delete your request at any time (see below).
Your rights
You can ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, give you a copy, correct it, delete it, or stop or limit how we use it, and you can object to our use of it based on legitimate interest. You can withdraw your consent at any time without affecting what we did before. If you are in Saudi Arabia you also have the right to be informed about how your information is collected and used, which this notice is meant to do.
To use any of these rights, email privacy@mazun.ai. We may ask you to confirm your identity. We will reply within one month; if a request is complex, we will tell you within that month if we need longer and why.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to a data protection authority: the DIFC Commissioner of Data Protection; in Saudi Arabia, the Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA); or in the UAE outside DIFC, the UAE Data Office.
How we protect it
Requests travel to us over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and are stored in a database that only authorised members of Mazun’s team can reach, after signing in. We limit who on our team can see requests, and we keep only the fields listed above. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affecting your information occurs, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.
Changes to this notice
We will update this notice when what we collect or who processes it changes, and show the date of the latest version below. If a change matters to how we use information you already gave us, we will tell you before it applies.
